Oz-Fest

On October 12-14 Dorothy's House / Land of Oz, located at 567 E. Cedar, Liberal, Kansas will once again welcome the Munchkins to the official home of Dorothy for the 17th Annual Celebration of Oz-Fest, in honor of "The Wizard of Oz" and recognizing the 68th anniversary of the making of the movie.

We continue to invite the original munchkins from the movie and this year Karl Slover, 1st Trumpeteer is scheduled to be in attendance. Also returning is Robert Baum, Great-Grandson of L. Frank Baum, who does a wonderful presentation of Frank Baum and family. Also in attendance will be Caren Marsh-Doll, author and Judy Garland stand-in. Caren will hold a dance class where you will learn the official skip down the Yellow Brick Road and following the class will be a Yellow Brick Road Skipping contest!

Jack Cooley, and his OzFest committee are working hard to make this the best OzFest ever with new activities and events, including a downtown parade, a Red Hat Lady Luncheon, Dinner with the Celebrities & much more.

Festival admission: $10 per person including games and tours. A two day pass can be purchased for 15

9:00 am - Land of Oz opens
10:30 am - Royal Procession of Oz and opening ceremonies at the Land of OZ

5:00 pm- Official closing of grounds, end of Ozfest 2007
